Planet Sandbox Data
Planet Sandbox Data is a series of Data Collections that allow you to test Planet datasets. The data is made available under a CC-BY-NC license and is available for users with a paid subscription or trial accounts.
Planet has made this data available for you to test out workflows, train a model, or see what a dataset looks like prior to making a purchase. We've set up data in a variety of locations to make it possible to test out different use cases.
Planet Sandbox Data is available for all accounts which have processing units, both paid and trial. You can sign up for a trial here. If you need more assistance, you can contact our sales team.

Planet Sandbox Data Locations
Planet Sandbox Data is available in a subset of the WorldStrat locations, ranging from 25 to 200 sq km in size. The locations are spread across the world, assuring a diverse representation of different use cases. Each location has a time stack of images across a range of dates that you can use to see changes over time.

The best way to find when and where data is available is to look at the respective sandbox data pages for each data layer in the documention. You can find these pages below.
Each page contains a map that you can use to find areas of interest and see when data is available. Select an area to find links to either open the data in the Browser or to copy the geojson to use in the APIs.
